In this slack period, Victor Gauntlett (CEO of Aston Martin)
wished to restore certain dynamism in the brand.
He thus asked to the Italian coachbuilder Zagato
to work on a new body, while keeping the base of the V8.
The final result is rather surprising, besides, far from the traditional line.
At the level performances, the engine of 430bph kept its promises.
Presented in March, 1986 to the show of Geneva, it was welcomed with a certain coolness.

The base is in oak enhanced by a plate in mahogany.
The logo Aston/Zagato is emphasized through a small plate in ebony.
